According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, over 20 million Americans are estimated to have some form of neuropathy. Since symptoms of neuropathy can start small and gradually become worse, many people with early symptoms of neuropathy delay getting a diagnosis until the symptoms have become unbearable and have taken over their life.
Peripheral neuropathy is caused by damages to the peripheral nervous system. The peripheral nervous system (PNS) is what is sends messages to and from the spinal cord and brain, to the rest of the body.
Menopause signals the end of a woman's menstrual cycle, and usually begins 12 months after a woman's last period. For most women, the transition to menopause starts between ages 45-55, lasting 7-14 years. While most women naturally cycle into the menopause, some may experience pre-menopause from the effects of chemotherapy, a hysterectomy, or other causes of damage to ovaries.
With shorter days, less sun, and less reasons to get outside, staying healthy in the winter months can be a challenge. I have hand picked my favorite winter wellness supplements, along with a few tips to keep you and your family healthy and happy through the winter months.
